Warning: I am very angry right now, and this post reflects that. It contains filthy language, and is bursting at the seams with hate. Just thought you should know before I exposed you to this. <3
Dear Windows, I motherfucking hate your guts! In tandem with java you are everything that is wrong with the computer world. You represent every-fucking-thing that I hate. I am so God damn pissed with you both right now, you can’t even begin to comprehend the glowing hot rage I harbor for you.
Tell me, Windows, which other operating system in the known WORLD will just plain fucking stop listening to input, hmmm? Don’t you think input might be a teensy tiny bit FUCKING IMPORTANT!? And you! Java! You asscock! Don’t you dare think I’d forgotten about you! I can’t think of anything quite as obscenely useless as a programming language that refuses to compile to an external file, but works just “fine” inside an IDE. And I say “fine” because there’s no such thing as “fine” with java, only java-fine, which is only marginally better than thundershittingly bad.
And guess who can force java to behave? That’s right, Mac OS X can. It’s the exact same fucking project, I just copied the damn files over, but noooo, Windows can’t do shit with it, that’s for GOOD operating systems!

AAAAAARGH!
And one last thing, and I want you both to hear this! Windows, I’m having another affair with Linux. Java, I’m having an affair with Haskell. Both of them do things for me that you guys wouldn’t even dare to try! So from one exhausted and pissed off coder to two piss poor tools, I hate you both, and I hope you rot in 64-bit hell!

Alright, so the headline doesn’t quite make sense. Allow me to explain.
Recently I have been using Youtube more and more to listen to music. I am using Linux, so Spotify is out (theres some bullshit with Spotify and Wine emulation). I can’t be arsed downloading entire albums, and there are simply some songs that only exist on Youtube. So wat do? Well obviously one would want to have these songs on ones mp3 player, or simply on the computer so you don’t have to actually open Youtube and stream it. Yes?
Well, I have been trying for a long time to find a program or a website that does this, and gets good quality. For a while i used Kickyoutube, but the quality was terrible, it often just downloaded 2/3 of the song and now the website is messed up. So today i stumbled across Dirpy!
Dirpy is a brilliantly awesome website, which allows you to simply copy the youtube link into the field, and then you can download it in 128 kbps quality. I am not an audiophile, so I can listen to this just fine. And the best part, when you look away from the fact that you actually get to download high quality songs, there are no irritating adds or popups. This site is awesome!
Enjoy it, darn you. Music to the people!
CSS is effing awesome! WordPress’s editor is a bitch that can’t retain html code for shit. That is pretty much all. New about-sites, go get to know us! Hoping that the remaining two authors will finish theirs soon. Do you like our new favicon?
I’ll let you in on a secret: There are a few candidates. Which one do you like better?

Dear God! This has got to be the website of the year! Nay, the idea of the year is more accurate! So what is it, you ask? It is YouTube, but not. It’s the music service you always wanted. Granted, if you simply cannot listen to music that isn’t over 320kbit/s quality, this service is not for you, but if youtube sound quality is good enough for you, it is simply brilliant. It looks roughly like an iTunes spinoff, and it roughly is. It gets music from, you guessed, it, YouTube. I’ve tested getting music from videos I know are HD, but there are no popups or options, so I suppose it automatically grabs the highest quality possible, and plays it back to you, instantly, just like, you know, a normal music player would. It’s free youtube music! With a sleek interface and elegant search function, and functional controls, all on a website.
But, as everyone knows, no one really likes websites, it’s kind of like an evil you have to live with. Except Mozilla has already solved this problem, and recently made the solution available to mac owners too! No matter which OS you are running, even you Linux fans, the combination of Mozilla Prism and moof is too good to pass up!
The service allows you to listen to any music you want, that exists on YouTube, or that you have uploaded. Though I haven’t tried it, due to the massiveness of my library, there seems to be an option to upload your library to their server. The site also allows you to add any song to the library on your personal account (yes, you need to register, but it’s completely free, and ad free to boot). After you’ve added a song, Moof even keeps the playcount for you. The creators really seem to have put a lot of effort into making a fully functional music app for you. What will they do next? Offline support?
